The IMS Classifications Tab is used to classify and group inventory search and reporting capabilities.  Inventory items can be classified into 3 basic groups, CLASS, CATEGORY, and BRAND.  The Inventory Management System is used to track, count sort, price, store and valuate your companies inventory.  SBMPro now posses inventory capabilities to store up to 2 million items.  The Inventory Management Module is also used to track cost of goods sold as well as to establish minimum profit margins for each inventory item.  The Inventory management module is another POWER TOOL designed to help you management your inventory, margins and warehousing.

CLASS- The Class selection box allows for the high order classification of a product into a large group such as Clothing, Hardware, Software, Plumbing Equipment, etc.  Note:  When the CLASS FILTER is set to a specific class only the items with that class will be visible in the Product Selection and Printing boxes. 
CATEGORY - The Category selection bos allows for the second level order classification of a product into a second level group.  When the CATEGORY FILTER is set to a specific category only the items with this this category are visible in the Product Selection and Printing boxes.  When used in conjunction with the high order Class classification a product can be categorized for easy retrieval.  For example:  Class = Clothing and multiple categories can be defined such as Shoes, Shirts, Hats, Pants, etc. 
BRAND - The Brand selection box allows for the third level order classification of a product into a brand category.   When the BRAND FILTER is set to a specific brand only the items with that specific brand are visible in the Product Selection and Printing boxes. 
Model - The Model field is used to specify a specific Model for the product..
UPC Code - The UPC Code field is used to enter a specific product UPC code.  UPC Codes are stored on most product packaging.  
Bar Code - The Bar Code field is used to enter a specific product bar code.  The Bar Code field is an alphanumeric field.  Additional custom programming is required to implement a Bar Code Scanner.  
Finish - The finish field is used to provide greated product classification.  This field is a 64 character alphanumeric field.
PRODUCT CLASS MAINTENANCE Button - The Product Class Maintenance button is used to access the Product Class Management module for adding, updating or removing Product Classes.  
PRODUCT CATEGORY MAINTENANCE Button - The Product Category Maintenance button is used to access the Product Category Management module for adding, updating or removing Product Categories.  
PRODUCT BRAND MAINTENANCE Button - The Product Brand Maintenance button is used to access the Product Brand Management module for adding, updating or removing Product Brands.   
Exclude Product From: AR Invoice/Sales Order Module  - The Exclude product from AR Invoice/Sales Order Modle is used to exclude products from being visible within the Sales Order/Accounts Receivables modules.   
Exclude Product From: AP Invoice/Purchase Order Module  - The Exclude product from AP Invoice/Purchase Order Modle is used to exclude products from being visible within the Purchase Order module.
